Cliques, Hicks, and Ugly Sticks by K.D. McCrite
(Received this previously but was accidentally left off the IMM that week.)
After an automobile accident, Isabel St. James-resident drama coach and drama queen-needs help putting together the church play. Mama insists April Grace and Myra Sue will help. April's fall is now devoted to spending every afternoon with Isabel and Myra Sue-if anyone is as big of a drama queen as Isabel, it's Myra Sue. Plus, she's dumb. (Okay, not dumb, but "older sister dumb.") If that's not enough, Isabel is wreaking havoc in the community trying to get Rough Creek Road paved, the new boy at school will not leave her alone, and then Mama drops the biggest bombshell of all... April Grace is no longer going to be the baby of the family...
The Gaia Wars by Kenneth G. Bennett (signed)
Deadly secrets have been buried in the Cascade mountain wilderness for centuries. Hidden. Out of sight and out of mind. Until today… Warren Wilkes, age 13, doesn’t like what a greedy housing developer has done to his peaceful mountain community, so he vandalizes the developer’s property, flees into the wild, and stumbles upon an ancient human skeleton revealed by torrential rain. More than old bones have been exposed, however, and the curious artifact Warren finds makes him question his own identity, and his connection to an ancient terror. A terror destined to rise again and annihilate all that Warren loves. He must fight or see his whole world destroyed.

Being Abigail by Kathryn White
Okay. This is it. I am going to kill myself ... After a suicide attempt goes hilariously awry Abigail Carter PhD candidate and owner of a gorgeous little kitten named Cedric finds herself stuck with her very own blog. Before long, Abigail finds herself blogging all about her everyday life - phone calls from the future mother-in-law from hell, visiting a murderous aunt in prision, being stalked by her ex-boyfriend turned cop and the reappearance of Chastity MacKenzie, the girl responsible for expulsion from boarding school many years before. And when Chastity makes a play for Samuel, Abigail's fiance of five years, Abigail realises that it is going to take a lot more than keeping a blog to sort this mess out... Dark and occasionally laugh out loud funny, Being Abigail features a truly unforgettable heroine and a reminder that sometimes the best things in life happen when you're on your way somewhere else.

Nice mailbox! Haven'te heard of any of these, but I've sort of fallen off the radar for new books. The Gaia Wars books sound interesting, and so does Being Abigail. Enjoy!
