All I Want Is You by Sherrill Bodine
Available January 2012

SHE'S STEALING HIS HEART . . .

Vintage boutique owner Venus Smith is stunned to realize her newest acquisition comes with a larcenous legend. Stolen years ago, the antique mermaid brooch belongs to the Clayworth family. The right thing to do would be to return it, but that means facing Connor Clayworth O'Flynn, the sexy department store heir Venus has had an unrequited crush on since childhood-and the man who helped ruin her father.

ONE KISS AT A TIME

Connor knows that Venus has never forgiven him for what happened between their families. But business isn't personal, even though Venus's father's betrayal still cuts him like a knife. So when Venus proposes a deal-she'll return his family's brooch if he helps clear her father's name-he reluctantly agrees. As action-packed days turn into flirtatious fall nights, it isn't long before old memories resurface . . . and new desires ignite. Can two young lovers leave the past behind? Or must they first admit that all they've ever really wanted . . . is each other?

My review:
Venus is trying to find out the truth about why her father was fired from the company owned by the Clayworth family, where he had worked for very long time. To find the information, she must be nice to Connor, a man she hates and to whom she has a strong attraction. Connor is trying to get back a brooch his aunt sold to Venus because it was given to her by her long-term "boyfriend," who is upset she sold it. Connor agrees to help Venus if she will return the brooch. Both of them think the other is only being nice to get what they want, but they can't deny their attraction to each other any longer.

All I Want Is You has a sweet love story, passion, and mystery all mixed together. This is a great romance novel that is so much more than just sexy scenes. It caught my attention in the very first chapter and made me keep turning pages to find out what was going to happen. Sherrill Bodine has produced amazing main characters that are described wonderfully and makes you interested in their stories. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance novels.

Sanctuary Cove by Rochelle Alers
Available January 2012
Publisher: Forever, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing

Sometimes love is the simplest choice of all.
Still reeling from her husband's untimely death, Deborah Robinson needs a fresh start. So she decides to pack up her family, box up her bookstore, and return to her grandmother's ancestral home on Cavanaugh Island. The charming town of Sanctuary Cove holds happy memories for Deborah. And, after she spies a gorgeous stranger in the local bakery, it promises the possibility for a bright, new future.

Dr. Asa Monroe is at a crossroads. Ever since the loss of his family, he has been on a quest for faith and meaning, traveling from one town to another. When he meets Deborah, the beautiful bookstore owner with the warm eyes and sunny smile, Asa believes he has finally found a reason to stay in one place.

As friendship blossoms into romance, Deborah and Asa discover they may have a second chance at love. But small towns have big secrets. Before they can begin their new life together, the couple must confront a challenge they never expected . . .

My review:
Unfortunately, if I hadn't committed to the blog tour, I probably would not have finished this book. Deborah's husband had just passed away, and she was moving with her teenage children and opening up her bookstore in a new place to start over. It just was not enough to make me care about her or what happened to her. In fact, it may have been one of the factors which made me dislike this character. Her husband has only been dead for 1 to 1 1/2 months, and she is already getting involved with another man. Even if I could get past her rushing into another relationship so quickly, there just wasn't anything that hooked me and got me engaged in this story and the conversations just seemed unbelievable and forced.

Both books were provided by the publisher for review.
